Real Time Video Imaging System

Introduction

The Real Time Video Imaging System is a complete package of hardware and software necessary to capture and transfer video images. This system is completely integrated and simplifies all of the tasks required to capture the video image, translate it to a digital format and either store it for later review or transfer the image in real time at a remote location. The video image can be recorded at the remote location for archival purposes.

The role of the Real Time Video Imaging System is to provide for immediate diagnosis of the ultrasound images by an expert without having to wait days or weeks to have the image reviewed. The role of this system is to provide a conduit between the location where the patient is located and a Radiologist at a central location. By utilizing state of the art digital techniques and digital phone lines, the images are sent without distortion to any location around the world that has access to an ISDN line.

A key advantage to using the Real Time Video Imaging System is that users gain the ability to transfer video images without any knowledge of the underlying video conferencing implementation. Users can view an ultrasound image, transfer the image in real time, record the image, save a snapshot of an individual frame, and optionally print the image. The saved video images can be replayed at any time.

One central location can have any number of remote sites feeding images to it for diagnosis. The system can be scaled as large as you want or be as small as one remote site and one home base site.

Now Available only for  use with the newer INTEL Pentium II® w/mmx 266 mhz processors based PC computers or newer INTEL Pentium III® processors.
